These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Bright Torch: Penguin Light mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), provided by WarTeg Studio ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. About the Application
Bright Torch: Penguin Light is a launcher application designed to provide flashlight and convenience functionality for supported mobile devices. Features may include LED flashlight control, screen light, SOS-style visual signaling, camera-based magnifier support, text display, app shortcuts, supported home screen management, wallpaper-related functions, weather-related pages, search pages, and settings tools.
The app is intended for general personal use. It is not a professional emergency, rescue, medical, safety, or navigation service.
3. Eligibility
You represent that you are legally able to accept these Terms in your jurisdiction. If you are using the Services on behalf of another person or entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind them to these Terms.
4. License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application for personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms.
5. Permissions and Device Features
The app may request access to certain device features that support its functionality:
- Camera and Flashlight: used for LED flashlight operation and camera-based magnifier features.
- Internet, Network, and Wi-Fi State: used for ads, analytics, crash reporting, app services, weather or search pages where available, and website-related features.
- Advertising and Attribution Identifiers: used to display, measure, limit, and improve ads where permitted by your device settings.
- Phone State: used for device compatibility, app stability, advertising measurement, fraud prevention, or platform service support. The app does not use this to read call content.
- Wallpaper and Launcher Access: used for supported home screen, launcher, and wallpaper-related functions.
- Request Delete Packages: used only when you choose a supported uninstall or app removal action. Android controls the final confirmation flow.
- Vibration and Wake Functions: used to support visible user interactions and active app behavior.
- Cloud Messaging Receive Permission: used for technical service communication where enabled.
You can manage permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work if required permissions are disabled.
6. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services except as permitted by law;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Application except where applicable law allows it;
- use the Services for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, unsafe, or misleading purposes;
- interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Services;
- use bots, scripts, or automated means to access the Services in an unauthorized way.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, software, branding, logos, design elements, and other materials included in the Services are owned by or licensed to WarTeg Studio and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted to you.
8. User Conduct
You agree to use the Services responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You are solely responsible for how you use the flashlight, screen light, SOS-style signal, magnifier, launcher, and home screen features, including using them safely and appropriately in your environment.
9. Third-Party Services and Content
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or may rely on third-party tools, analytics providers, advertising partners, attribution providers, crash reporting tools, cloud messaging services, or platform services. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms, or privacy practices.
10. Advertisements
The Application may display advertisements or promotional content provided by third parties. We do not endorse and are not responsible for any third-party products, services, claims, or offers shown in such advertisements.
11. Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, compatible with every device, or error-free.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or used the Services in a manner that could cause harm. You may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it from your device or switching to another launcher.
13. Disclaimer
The Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Application will meet your requirements or operate without interruption or error.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WarTeg Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, business, goodwill, or device functionality arising from or related to your use of the Services. Your use of the Services is at your own risk.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the Developer operates, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date on this page. Continued use of the Services after any update means you accept the revised Terms.
17. Launchers and Uninstallation Instructions
Launchers are applications designed to enhance or replace your home screen experience by providing shortcuts, layout options, and other home screen tools. Once installed and set as default, a launcher may modify the layout, icons, or arrangement of your existing applications. Your applications remain installed and accessible; they may simply appear in different locations or inside the app drawer.
If you want to return to a previous home screen setup, you can switch your default launcher in Android settings or uninstall the Application. You may also refer to these straightforward uninstallation instructions from Google (Google Play Uninstallation Guide). This process can help restore your home screen to a previous launcher setup.
Please keep in mind that, due to limitations inherent to devices and platforms, we are unable to modify any subscription details or uninstall the launcher on your behalf.
